The firm of Stephen Griss Associates / Architecture was established in 1978 as a full service architectural design office to serve the building design needs of the regional area in the fields of commercial, institutional and residential construction. The firm concentrates on few projects at a time, devoting full attention to all clients and projects from the programming phase through the design, construction documents, bidding and construction phases. Projects have ranged in size from commercial and residential remodeling projects and additions to large research and development corporate office facilities. The firm’s specialties include commercial office buildings, space planning, restaurants, medical offices and private residential design. The design philosophy of the firm remains devoted to a balance of program requirements, contemporary concepts, creative design solutions, the use of economic construction techniques and contextual and environmental appropriateness.
The firm provides architectural design services including building and interior design, as well as site planning. As required by the complexity and scope of the project, the firm contracts with some of the most competent professional engineers in the State for civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering consulting and design.
